Saffron Home Services Locksmith is based in Saffron Walden and we provide Locksmith services within a twenty mile radius of Saffron Walden. What Do You Charge?

We charge a fixed rate for labour for our Locksmith services, depending on whether the job is an emergency or booked in advance - please see our fees here. All parts are charged separately and we will always provide a written quotation in advance for any parts. Our trade relationships often mean that any parts we provide are cheaper to those you could purchase from the high street. We pride ourselves on our competitive prices and so we do not offer a 'budget service' or a price match promise, because we believe you get what you pay for!

What Payment Methods Do You Accept?

We accept payment by Cash, Bank Transfer (BACS) and Credit/Debit card. Cheques are NOT accepted.

How Long is Your Waiting List?

Usually we can book you in for non-urgent work within a couple of weeks. We offer appointments for urgent work, particularly emergency lock-outs/gaining entry, as and when they are needed and aim to be with you within one hour of your call, often sooner.

What Experience Do You Have?

Over twenty five years as a Locksmith, both self employed and as manager of the Saffron Walden branch of 'Lock, Stock and Barrel' Locksmiths. Plus, over ten years as a Handyman, working for the Papworth Trust, a charitable trust providing help for the elderly and disabled in order to facilitate independent living. While in this role I have completed many additional trainings including protection of the vulnerable and elderly and current safety regulations. I have also completely renovated two old (three hundred year to be precise!) houses (including a grade two listing) from top to bottom myself.

How Am I Protected?

Saffron Home Services Locksmith services are fully insured, for two million pounds, public liability. I am DBS checked and all customers are welcome to inspect either certificate.
